China: Producción de manzanas alcanzará 41 millones de toneladas en año comercial 2019/20

China’s production is forecast to rebound 8.0 million tons to 41.0 million, regaining all of last year’s lost output from severe weather.

Nearly all major growing provinces experienced favorable growing conditions throughout fruit development, and higher supplies are expected to boost exports up 230,000 tons to over 1.0 million. Though domestic supplies are higher, quality is reported as only fair, increasing import demand for higher quality apples to a record 100,000 tons.
