Research recently collected by the Washington State Tree Fruit Association has estimated a 30% decrease in the 2024 pear harvest compared to the past five-year average. This decrease, which comes as a result of the cold weather that hit North Central Washington in January, has resulted in the smallest pear crop of the last 40 years.
