The United States is the most important supplier of nuts to the European Union, which imported $2.3 billion of tree nuts in 2013, of which $1.4 billion were almonds. Therefore the lifting of the special EU Import Conditions for U.S. Almonds effective September 3, wich 2014 is excellent news.
