Type: Reasoned Opinion On request from: European Commission Question number: EFSA-Q-2010-01057 Approved: 07 January 2011 Published: 12 January 2011 Affiliation: European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), Parma, Italy In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, Belgium, herewith referred as the evaluating Member State (EMS), compiled an application to modify the existing MRLs for the active substance trifloxystrobin in cranberries and aubergines. In order to accommodate for the intended use of trifloxystrobin, it is proposed to raise the existing MRLs from the limit of quantification value of 0.02 mg/kg to 2 mg/kg and 0.3 mg/kg, respectively. Belgium drafted an evaluation report according to Article 8 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, which was submitted to the European Commission and forwarded to EFSA on 16 August 2010.
