Sudáfrica: lluvia afecta duraznos, uvas y peras, pero el daño es poco en pasas y uvas
Unseasonal summer rains have fallen in South Africa. Peaches, grapes and pears have been affected, but there is little damage to raisins and wine so far.
“Disastrous rains in the Western Cape! Rain is pouring down in showers and rivers are in flood,” wrote one contact in the South African deciduous fruit industry. “More hail along the Langeberg mountain range. [It is] too early to calculate damage to peach crop. My estimate is a loss of a few thousand tonnes of peaches and quality of the current ripe fruit to be effected negatively.”
