Oct. 1, 2013Italia: rendimiento de tomates se reduce a la mitad por propagación de malezas
The tomato crop in a number of growing areas in southern Italy has been damaged by a weed that has infested tomato farms, hitting yields and production volumes.
Puglia’s province of Foggia, a key tomato district which accounts for almost half of Italy’s tomato production, has slashed its crop forecasts for the year by half. The main reason is an infestation of the parasitic plant Orobanche.
