Frutillas/Serbia: producción 2013 sería menor a la del año pasado
Serbia’s raspberry growers will harvest approximately 16% less raspberries this year, in good part as a result of last year’s severe drought in the Balkans.
Raspberry farmers are expected to produce 59,239 tonnes of the fruit in 2013, down 15.76% from the 70,320 tonnes that were harvested in 2012, announced Serbia’s Statistical Office (RZS) in its first harvest estimate issued on 20 June. The total acreage for raspberry growing amounts to 15,683 hectares this year, down from 15,748 ha in 2012.
