Frutillas/EE.UU: producción en Santa María superaría 30 millones de libras
Santa Maria strawberry growers are sitting on a record breaking crop this year. The California Strawberry Commission says the area is already up by over 30 million pounds this year.
Whereas many growers have struggled with the strange weather patterns seen this year, it has been the perfect condition for strawberry cultivation.
“So far this year, it’s turned out to be a very good year,” Dave Peck, General Manager at Manzanita Berry Farms, said.
The Strawberry Commission says Santa Maria has already produced almost 350 million pounds.
