Estiman exportación 2011/12 en 78.000 toneladas, siendo EE.UU el principal destino
CHILE’s blueberry crop is expected to grow in volume, setting new records for 2011-2012, according to the Chilean Blueberry Committee. Exports are expected to peak at 78 000 tonnes, with more than three quarters of the total volume to be shipped to the US.
Continued growth in exports to the US is attributed to increasing demand among consumers for high quality fresh blueberries combined with increased Chilean production. However, winter consumption in the US is still one-third of what is being consumed during peak summer months.
