Espárragos en conserva/China: crece exportación a España

Chinese shipments of canned asparagus to Spain, the country’s largest exports destination, increased in January-September 2013 after experiencing several years of continuous decline.

Spanish off-take reached a peak in 2007, with over 29,000 tonnes of product. Since then, demand progressively decreased to last year’s 14,089 tonnes. Imports picked up this year to date, to 17,900 tonnes. Spain now has a 41% share of China’s canned asparagus exports.
