China: disminuye stock de duraznos en conserva
Chinese canned peach stocks are running low as the global market scrambles to source product in what some have described as the “worst year ever” for canned peaches. Argentine exports are also expected to be minimal, according to a contact in the country.
“There isn’t much available in China anymore,” said one trader in the US. This was confirmed by a canner and an exporter in China. “Many packers have already shipped a lot of their product. Stock is very low. Most of that is booked,” the canner said. “Less common specifications, such as 29oz halves, are still available, but very low volumes of that are packed. A10s are very limited.” He added that it is difficult to put a precise number on the remaining volume of stock.
